Production Edition

The Production Edition is especially well suited to the needs of the small to medium sized job shop or custom manufacturer.

The key element is the existence of a job that is more custom than it is repetitive with a need to manage and control the use of various resources (labor, materials, processes, machines, presses, tools, outside contract/purchases, etc.)

 

Production Planning makes it easy for you to create and track a work order and control the use of various resources on a job. You can identify the raw materials, parts, and sub-assemblies that are used to create a finished product as well as labor, accounts payable, operation/machine/press time and other costs. It can also help you schedule jobs through your shop.

Production Management provides an easy to use, flexible method for gathering and reporting data relating to costs. Labor, material and other costs, both actual and estimated, current and historical can be viewed and reported on. Current quotes can be monitored and compated to earlier quotes for similar jobs or parts.

Production Planning and Production Management are fully integrated with other elements of BK's Shop Manager, a complete accounting and shop management system. They interact extensively with Payroll Management, Accounts Payable, Inventory Management, Order Processing, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger. They also can be used as a stand alone application to plan a job and to document and total the elements and costs of producing a product.
